Our students and teachers loved Sheryl's visit to our school.  Her presentation incorporated thoughtful intentions for the children's age level.  The story time was interactive and included the children to act out the story using puppets.  They also loved learning and singing along to the song that accompanied the book.

How it works

Generally, visits are 45 minutes to one hour. Sheryl Bass may chat a bit about her writing history as a child, how she became a children's book author, how the idea for her first book came to her, and a bit about the editing process.

She may read one or both of her books while engaging the children by asking them discussion and reading comprehension questions and may end with a brief Q and A session. Kids might also hear a song about Baby Dragon's adventures.

Additionally, there might be an exciting opportunity for the kids to act out one of the books, bringing the story to life through their own creativity and imagination.

Coloring pages and bookmarks are gifted to children and book order forms are sent home with them afterward.
